The scope of FinTech applied research encompasses various domains of financial technologies applied in addressing real-life problems/business opportunities provided by sponsoring organizations.
Sponsorship for applied research projects will be solicited from stakeholders in the FinTech ecosystem comprising of Government, Industry, Academia and Research.
Applied research projects will be undertaken by undergraduate and postgraduate students who have passed the selection/matching process and obtained approval to engage in an applied research project, normally spanning from 6 to 8 months duration, of the CEFAR Academy.
Industrial supervisors from the sponsoring organisations, and academic supervisors from CUHK, who undertake to supervise at least one applied research project, will be appointed CEFAR Fellow of the Academy in the academic year.
